The natural aging process in the skin starts as early as at the age of 25. The body progressively loses its capacity to restore collagen, which translates into loss of skin elasticity and its ability to swell due to reduced water-binding capacity. This phenomenon is physiological, yet extremely undesired. With collagen deficiency, aging signs develop, such as wrinkles and lines, discolorations, cellulite, skin dryness, matt nails and hair, and contracture of the posture. Hence, the need to supplement protein by ingesting products with hydrolysed collagen, which supports elastin restoration and serves as a natural moisturizer acting from “the inside”, is fully justified.
