CHEMISEPT G COLOR is an alcohol-based dye for pre-operative antiseptic treatment of the skin. The product has broad fungicidal and bactericidal activity, kills Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including tuberculosis pathogens and fungi, deactivates both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (including HBV, HIV, rotavirus and adeno).
CHEMISEPT G COLOR is formulated with pure, low-volatile ethyl alcohol to prevent the development of respiratory allergies. After antiseptic treatment of the skin, the product’s fast-acting disinfectant maintains an environment unsuitable for microbial life for up to three hours. After this period of time, the normal microflora of the skin is quickly restored.
The product is orange in colour and therefore the surface of the skin treated with the antiseptic is clearly visible..
-Preoperative skin preparation:
The surgical area is treated with CHEMISEPT G COLOR. To do this, use a cotton swab and a sterile swab soaked in the product and applied to the skin by rubbing it in well. Apply the antiseptic to the surgical site twice, each time with a duration of action of 1,5 min. Total time for preoperative preparation of the skin: 3 minutes. The injection film may only be applied to dry skin.
For aseptic surgery, start antisepsis from the area of the planned incision, moving towards the periphery.
For septic surgery, start skin antisepsis from the periphery, moving towards the septic area.
Skin antisepsis prior to intra-articular injection, puncture, arthroscopy and cannulation:
Moisten the injection strip or swab with the product and treat the skin in the surgical area, repeat a second time with a new swab. Total time to prepare the skin 1 minute.
