Functions of vitamin C:

Vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism, nervous and immune system function and psychological functions.
Vitamin C contributes to the replenishment of the original form of vitamin E and enhances iron absorption.
Vitamin C helps to protect cells from oxidative stress and reduce fatigue and tiredness.
Vitamin C contributes to the maintenance of normal immune function during and after intense exercise. The beneficial effects are seen when 200 mg per day is consumed in addition to the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C.
