To better understand skin ageing, it’s important to know how the sun affects our skin. The sun emits two types of ultraviolet rays: UVA goes directly into the deeper layers of the skin, called the dermis, while UVB is trapped in the epidermis. Intense exposure to the sun (and even more so for sensitive skin) causes both UVs to damage the dermis and epidermal cells. The result is weakened, faster ageing and dry skin. Working from the inside, Terracotta Anti-Aging Sunscreen prepares the skin for sun exposure and maintains its youthfulness.

Specially selected ingredients
The product has been developed by experts, with optimum concentration and proven efficacy of new innovative ingredients. It has a combination of two active ingredients, Glycosérum EF and melanin, which ensures a triple action: anti-ageing, moisturising and sun protection.

Melanin from black olives
Melanin is produced by our skin cells, the melanocytes. Melanocytes are the cells in the skin and their main role is to synthesise melanin from a well-known amino acid: tyrosine.

Melanin from olive oil: melanocytes are the cells in the skin that produce melanin.

The amount of melanin in the skin determines both the tone of the skin and its ability to protect against the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

Melanin is a key component of the human cellocyte, called tanninsocyte, which is responsible for the production of melanin.

Melanin plays a key role in protecting the skin. Indeed, melanin grains are able to intercept some of the sun’s rays. How is this possible? Melanin is able to absorb phonons, scatter them, but also trap free radicals.

The melanin in the product is made from black olive skin and each capsule contains 20 mg of melanin.

Glycosérum EF®
Glycoserum EF® is composed of glycolipids, phospholipids and ceramides extracted from wheat fibres. These three lipids are the constituents of the skin’s hydrolipidic “film”. Ceramides are more specifically the constituents of the stratum corneum and regulate water loss from the skin.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is your skin’s true friend. Vitamin C protects the skin from oxidative stress and helps stabilise the collagen structure. Vitamin C intake contributes to the normal formation of collagen to ensure normal skin function.

Vask
Copper is an essential mineral and antioxidant. Indeed, it is a cofactor of superoxide dismutase (SOD) – an enzyme that fights against oxidation. This trace element provides the skin with better protection against external aggressions.

1 capsule daily with food and a large glass of water. It should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
